| Enjoying her new career as Estate Agent |
Local estate Agent Michelle Read, was just about to turn 40 in July 2008, when she went down with Glandular fever. Little did she know that 6 months later this would escalate to be the debilitating illness, M.E. (also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). Michelle’s story however has a happy ending …
Michelle explains how it affected her “Life for me changed over night. I had to relocate back to living with my parents who looked after me, I could not work, socialise, travel, my list of symptoms was endless. Even getting dressed was no easy task, in fact it was so debilitating that I stopped living. I thought ‘How could this happen to me?’ I could not understand or cope with the fact that I, who had been a strong independent person, lived in New York for 15 years, travelled the world, made it to Everest base Camp, and who liked to life to it’s fullest, was finding it hard just to leave the house to go to the Doctors. In fact that was more- or- less the only time I left the house”.
Then in January 2009 Michelle’s Mum was reading a local Ringwood paper and came across an article on M.E. Michelle was reluctant to read the article at first but when she got around to reading the story, found that she had a lot in common with what she was reading. “I suddenly realized I was not going mad with how I was feeling. Yes I too looked OK to the outside, but it was how I was feeling on the inside that no-one understood”.
After considering the story for 2 weeks and getting to the point of despair, Michelle made a call to Donna Paris, local Lighting Process Practitioner. She says “little did I know that my life was about to change!”
That Spring Michelle attended The Lighting Process course. She tells us “My first thought was ‘how am I going to make it though the day having to sit still and listen’, but since that day I have never looked back!”
Michelle smiles as she says “The course gave me my life back, I no longer hide under the bed covers! Instead I play tennis and go dancing every week, sometimes twice! At the beginning of the year I travelled with the locals in India for 4 weeks, then snowboarded on the snowy slopes of Soll, clocking up over 90 miles, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg!”
Then came Michelle’s biggest challenge “I needed to find full time employment but I also decided to change career. It was a difficult decision to make but never the less I applied for a position to work at Austin & Wyatt Estate Agent in Ringwood, as a Sales Negotiator. I wrote my cover letter on M.E and The Lighting Process, and in May this year I started working for the company”.
“It’s a fantastic fast pace environment which I love! I am always running in and out of the office to viewings, driving through the New Forest meeting all different kinds of people, but the best part for me is when you help clients find a place they can call home”

Michelle finishes with, “It’s amazing how one phone call can turn your life around! I’m living a life I love!”
Local Lightning Process Practitioner, Donna Paris is amongst the most experienced practitioners in the world and has her practice at The Wimborne Clinic in Wimborne. She explains to us how this remarkable programme works.
“It’s a very simple down-to-earth approach and we get to the very root of the problem and sort it out once and for all. We understand that these illnesses are certainly physical. In fact I can speak from experience as I had M.E. myself for a number of years and got better with The Lightning Process.”
So what is The Lightning Process? Donna explains “It is a training programme which takes place over 3 consecutive days (around 12 hours in total) and it addresses the way in which the brain and body work together to affect your health.”
She continues “My clients are comprehensively trained in how the body’s physical emergency response can affect the immune, muscular, digestive and nervous systems. This results in physiological changes and ultimately the varied and peculiar symptoms associated with conditions such as M.E.”
“Clients are taught an easy technique which they then apply as and when required which opens up a route to recovery from serious physical illness. Success simply relies on the person applying what they have been taught. It’s fast and simple and it fits in with your life. That’s the whole idea”.
“Michelle was a joy to work with” Donna enthuses. “She was very fragile and poorly when she came to me and I could sympathise with her completely. What a turnaround she made! It’s so rewarding to see my clients can get their health back on track and live to the full again! Everyone deserves that”.
